THE HIDDEN CHILD IN EVERY GROWN-UP
In every grown-up,
There is a hidden child,
Who wants to come out to play
Who wants to be free for a while,
Free from the constant pressure to keep walking.
Free from the compulsion to keep winning.
Free to be happy and carefree.
Free to do some childlike stuff.
Free to be immature and cry.
Free to sleep and wake up without worries
Free to make mistake and not be judged.
Free to be silly sometimes and not mind.
Free of task, cut off and deadlines.
Don’t let adulthood tame the child in you.
The hidden child in you is one without social cover.
No fake smile, no fake tears, hardly cares about what people think.
If someone can disclose their inner child before you,
Then you mean a lot to them.
So let them be free,
Rather than telling them to grow up, suck it up or act strong.
Let the hidden child in them come out to play.
